On September 21, 2024, 6 student volunteers and 3 adult volunteers from The Food Lounge helped Vickery Meadow Food Pantry Clothes Closet pack bags of food and distribute them to the people in need in Vickery Meadow neighborhood, including diverse immigrant and refugee neighbors. The volunteers packed 300+ bags with vegetables, fruits, protein, drinks, snacks, canned food, eggs, and more, serving 247 families. This included 413 adults, 417 children, and 29 seniors. The volunteers were very happy to help give back to the community and make an impact on these people’s lives.

On August 8th , 2024, one member of The Food Lounge transported
various donated food items and created grocery boxes for 30 low-income families in the Dallas area. We appreciate the time and effort put into this important event.

On August 6th, 2024, two members of The Food Lounge helped
pack meals for 510 low-income families in the Dallas area. We appreciate the time and effort put into this important event.

On August 1st , 2024. Two (2) members of The Food Lounge participated in community service at the Cathedral of Hope Church, transporting donated food items, and sorting and packing the items into 33 grocery boxes for low-income families in the Dallas area.

On July 30th, 2024, one member of The Food Lounge helped to pack
meals for 450 low-income families in the Dallas area. We appreciate the time and effort put into this important event.

Two members of The Food Lounge completed community service at Cathedral of Hope on July 23rd, 2024. Volunteers transported various donated food items and packed 300 meal boxes for low-income families in the Dallas area.

On June 27th, 2024, 5 members of The Food Lounge transported various donated food items such as fruit, bread, and dessert. Additionally, they created grocery boxes using the donated items for 50 low-income families in the Dallas area. They then distributed them to families that claimed the boxes.
November 21, 2023 (Tuesday) – Cathedral of Hope, Dallas
On November 21, members of The Food Lounge completed community service at Cathedral of Hope Church. 15 Volunteers packed 336 meals including meals, vegetables, and fruits to the homeless community. We appreciate all volunteers’ time and effort.
November 18, 2023 (Saturday) – Chris Howell Thanksgiving Food Distribution, Dallas
On 11/18, members of The Food Lounge completed community service at Chris Howell Foundation Thanksgiving Food Giveaway event at Dallas college Mountain View campus. Volunteers worked alongside other team members, packing food boxes with beans, rice, pasta, and canned tuna; making produce bags of fruit and veggies; and handing out Turkey Vouchers to 250 families in need in the community.
