Vivek Venkataraman

Vivek Venkataraman is a rising 11^th grader at Plano West Senior High School in Plano, Texas.

When not doing schoolwork, he enjoys various hobbies. He spends a lot of his free time working on video editing, 3D modelling, and photography for competitions/commissions and for fun. In 2022, he won first place at the national level in the senior group documentary category of National History Day and received honorable mention in the USABO open exam.

He also enjoys music and plays the violin and piano. He has advanced to regionals in the 8^th and 10^th grade PMTA solo piano contest and has amassed nearly a million views from a video of a violin solo that he performed with a local nonprofit orchestra where he was concertmaster. During the two years when he was concertmaster, he helped raise $180,000 through fundraising concerts.

In addition, he is an avid mountain biker and most recently has placed 16^th overall in the junior varsity league in the statewide Texas NICA race series.
