We typically organize a few events each quarter in the Oklahoma City area for our members to volunteer. These events range from fundraising, to delivering fresh food, to working at local food banks, food and shelter, and food pantries.

October 6, 2024 Norman Cultural Crossroads Festival in Norman
Volunteers completed community service at the Norman Cultural Crossroads International Festival. They helped over 150 participants at the festival in experiencing Chinese culture, cuisine, and art.
September 21, 2024 Oklahoma Regional Food Bank in OKC
We completed community service at Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma Volunteer Center in OKC. We packed 6,144 backpacks (1,024 boxes) totaling 18,432 pounds, serving 15,360 meals.
August 31, 2024 Oklahoma Regional Food Bank in OKC
We completed community service at Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma Volunteer Center in OKC. We packed 902 bags (41 boxes) Pretzels totaling 902 pounds, serving 751 meals.
August 8, 2024 Oklahoma Regional Food and Resource Center in Moore

We completed community service at The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma Food and Resource Center in Moore on August 8, 2024. We helped customers shopping on the store floor, and sorted produce at the back. For the retail recovery, they processed 3,600 pounds of food, which provided our neighbors with 3,000 meals. On the store floor, we assisted 30 households which was 118 Individuals and roughly 3,000 lbs of food left with our neighbors.

We helped customers shopping on the store floor, and sorted produce at the back. For the retail recovery, we processed 3,600 pounds of food, which provided our neighbors with 3,000 meals. On the store floor, we assisted 30 households which was 118 Individuals and roughly 3,000 lbs of food left with our neighbors.

We helped customers shopping on the store floor, and sorted produce at the back. For the retail recovery, we processed 6,350 pounds of food, which provided our neighbors with 7,200 meals. On the store floor, we assisted 40 Households which was 215 Individuals and roughly 4,800 lbs of food left with our neighbors.

We helped customers shopping on the store floor, and sorted produce at the back. For the retail recovery, we processed 5,910 pounds of food, which provided our neighbors with 5,700 meals. On the store floor, we assisted 35 Households which was 200 Individuals and roughly 3,500 lbs of food left with our neighbors.

July 4, 2024 Reaves Park, Norman 6-9PM
Six volunteers completed community service at the Norman Independence Day Firework Show held at the Reaves Park, Norman, on July 4, 2024. They went shopping for beverages and snacks on July 2, and participated in the fundraiser on July 4. Due to the inclement thunderstorm, the Firework show was postponed, which affected the people attending the event. While they were unable to raise the dollar amount as expected, the volunteers still worked hard and made some yields.
July 2, 2024 Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma Hope’s Kitchen in OKC
9:30-12PM
Ten volunteers completed community service at Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma Hope’s Kitchen in OKC. They packed 32 boxes of Cheezits/craisins/juice, serving 539 meals. Additionally, they packed 89 PB/Grahams, serving 3,560 meals. In total, they packed 131 boxes, serving 4,099 meals.
June 28, 2024 Oklahoma Regional Food and Resource Center in Moore

the back. They distributed 6,255 pounds of food, which accounts to 5,212 meals.
June 15, 2024 Food and Shelter Share Center in Norman
We completed community service at the Food and Shelter Share Center in Norman. We worked on a variety of tasks, including sorting produce, shelving food items, packing boxes, tearing down carton boxes, and cleaning up. Our volunteer hours have helped feed over 500 households this month in our community!
June 14, 2024 Oklahoma Regional Food and Resource Center in Moore

Nine members completed community service at The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma Food and Resource Center in Moore on June 14, 2024. They helped customers shopping on the store floor, and some of them cleaned the crates at the back. They served 79 households, 240 individuals, and distributed 7,900 pounds of food.
March 30, 2024 Oklahoma Chinese Youth Speech Contest
We organized the Bake Sale at the Oklahoma Chinese Youth Speech Contest t at Terra Verde Discovery School in Norman, Oklahoma on March 30, 2024. We served Chinese food, cookies, and beverages to about 100 people, and raised $125 in total for the Food Lounge OKC Chapter. Prior to the event, we also spent hours making the food items.
March 22, 2024 Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma
We completed community service at Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma in OKC on March 22, 2024. They packed 1296 bags of pineapples (16 boxes and 4374 pounds), serving 3645 meals.
March 21, 2024 Norman Food and Shelter Share Center
We completed community service at the Food and Shelter Sharing Center in Norman on March 21, 2024. We worked on a variety of tasks, including shelving food items, packing boxes, making a drawing on the floor of the store, tearing down carton boxes, and cleaning up. We served 30 families (100 people).
March 18, 2024 Regional Food Bank Food and Resource Center in Moore
Ten volunteers completed community service at The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma Food and Resource Center in Moore on March 18, 2024. They participated in various kinds of work: sorting produce, including bread, deserts, fruits, and veggies; cleaning up. They processed 5,600 pounds of food (equivalent of 4,667 meals provided) and helped 50 households (about 250 people).
February 19, 2024, 9-12PM Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma Hope’s Kitchen
Ten volunteers completed community service at Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma Hope’s Kitchen in OKC. They packed 40 boxes of chunky fajita soup, serving 1440 meals.
February 17, 2024, Norman Food and Shelter Share Center
Three volunteers completed community service at Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma in OKC. They worked on a variety of tasks, including shelving food items, packing boxes, making a drawing on the floor of the store, tearing down carton boxes, and cleaning up. They served 30 families (100 people).
January 26, 2024, Multicultural New Year Celebration
Eight volunteers completed community service at the Multicultural New Year Celebration at the Nancy O’Brien’s Center in Norman on January 26th, 2024. They helped with setting up the table and chairs, helped with decorating the site, ran the game area, and cleaned up after the event. Three of them also participated in the lion dance rehearsal and performance. They provided service to about 1000 people in the Norman community.
December 22 10:45-2PM (Friday) Food and Shelter Norman Share Center
We completed community service at Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma in OKC. They worked on a variety of tasks, including shelving food items, packing boxes, writing holiday cards, tearing down carton boxes, and cleaning up. We served 300 families.
December 21 1:30-4PM（Thursday） Food Bank Volunteer Center
Five volunteers completed community service at Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma in OKC. They packed 4590 bags of bacon (85 boxes and 2295 pounds), serving 1912 meals.
November 18, 2023 (Saturday) Food and Shelter Norman
Five volunteers completed community service at the Food and Shelter Norman on November 18, 2023. We served hot lunches and packed lunch boxes for around 200 homeless people.
October 28, 2023 (Saturday) Scissortail Park, OKC
We donated 40 water bottles and distributed T-shirts and water bottles to about 50 volunteers and participants at the Walk to end Alzheimer’s disease event.
October 27, 2023 (Friday) Food and Shelter Sharing Center Norman
We went shopping for daily necessities (razors, paper towels, shampoos, wash cloths, underwear, etc.) and food items (rice, beans, cereals, peanut butter, jelly) for a total worth of $299.12. We donated the supplies to the Food and Shelter Sharing Center.
October 21, 2023 (Saturday) Food and Shelter Norman

Six volunteers completed community service at the Food and Shelter Norman on September October 21, 2023. We served hot lunches and packed lunch boxes for around 200 homeless people.

Six volunteers completed community service at the University of Oklahoma Food Pantry in Norman, Oklahoma on September 5, 2023. We filled over 100 produce bags, filled around 100 online orders, and restocked the shelves! Altogether they served around 150 students and staff members.
September 1, 2023 (Friday) Food Bank Moore

We completed community service at The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma Food and Resource Center in Moore on Sept. 1st, 2023. Nine volunteers participated in various kinds of work: sorting produce, including bread, deserts, fruits, and veggies; working as aisle shopping assistants on the floor; unpacking, cleaning, sanitizing, and re-packaging eggs; cleaning up. They processed 3,492 pounds of food (equivalent of 500 meals provided) and helped 50 households (about 150 people).
August 18 and 19, 2023 (Friday and Saturday) Asian Night Market Festival
Time: 5PM-11PM on August 18 and 19
We completed community service at the Asian Night Market Festival held on August 18th and 19th at the Asian District in Oklahoma City. We helped Charis Alive, a non-profit organization, to promote their character camp and Chinese school programs. We proactively talked to around 300 people who showed interest in the programs.
August 8, 14 and 15, 2023 (Monday and Tuesday) University of Oklahoma Food Pantry

We served 300 students and staff members at the OU Food Pantry. We filled around 100 online orders, restocked shelves, filled produce bags, egg boxes, and helped clean up!
June 5 and 6, 2023 (Monday and Tuesday) University of Oklahoma Food Pantry
Time: 2PM – 4PM on June 5
Time: 10AM – 12PM on June 6
We served 229 students and staff members at the OU Food Pantry. We broke down over a pallet worth of boxes, filled over 100 produce bags, filled around 70 online orders, restocked shelves, and prepared all the fresh produce for the week! The OU Food Pantry really appreciated everyone for helping in their produce area, filling orders, and other tasks.
June 3, 2023 (Saturday) Terra Verde Discovery School Norman
Time: 10AM – 5PM
Nine volunteers participated in the Bake Sale at the Owl’s Nest Market at Terra Verde Discovery School in Norman, Oklahoma on June 3, 2023. We served Chinese food, cookies, and lemonade to about 100 people, and raised $150 in total for the Food Lounge OKC Chapter.
May 29 and May 30, 2023 (Monday and Tuesday) University of Oklahoma Food Pantry

Five volunteers completed community service at the University of Oklahoma Food Pantry in Norman, Oklahoma on May 29th and 30th, 2023. We broke down probably over a pallet worth of boxes, filled over 100 produce bags, filled around 100 online orders, and filled boxes and boxes with makeup! They served 241 students and staff members. The OU Food Pantry really appreciated everyone for helping in our produce area, filling orders, setting up snacks, and other tasks.
May 20, 2023 (Saturday) Fine Art Showcase
Time: 1PM – 4PM
Seven volunteers completed community service at the 2nd Annual Fine Art Showcase held in Norman Public Library in Oklahoma. They helped with setting up before the event, served food and beverage, and helped with cleaning up after the event. They served around 75 people who attended the event.
April 22, 2023 (Saturday) Food and Shelter Norman
Time: 10:30AM-12:30PM
We completed community service at Food and Shelter Norman in Oklahoma. We served hot lunches for around 275 people and helped unload and shelve donated food items.
March 16, 2023 (Thursday) Hope’s Kitchen OKC
Five volunteers worked at Regional Food Bank Hope’s Kitchen in Oklahoma. We packed 480 PB kids meals and 880 Grahams and PB cups.
Feb 20, 2023 (Monday) Food Bank Moore

Eight volunteers worked on processing produce, shelving food in the cooler and freezer, helping customers shop on the floor, and cleaning up.
Feb 18, 2023 (Saturday) Food and Shelter Norman

Six volunteers served hot lunches and packed lunch boxes for around 200 people. We appreciate their time and effort in this important volunteering work.
Jan 22, 2023 (Sunday) Norman Central Library
Time: 2-4PM
Eight volunteers completed community service at the New Year Celebration at the Norman Central Library in Norman on January 22nd, 2023. We helped with setting up the table and chairs, served food and water, provided IT support as needed, and cleaned up after the event. We also helped with transporting the supplies and setting up on January 21st, 2023. We provided service to 100 households (about 300 people).
Jan 16, 2023 (Monday) Mission Norman, Oklahoma
Time: 10:00-12:30PM
Six volunteers unloaded 25 boxes of food supplies from the truck, unpacked and shelved the boxes on January 16th, 2023. We helped 15 households (about 45 people) shop at the food pantry.
December 29, 2022 (Thursday) Food Bank
Time: 1-4PM
We processed 592 pounds of food, equivalent to providing 455 meals. We also helped with unpacking, shelving, and cleaning up.

We packed 80 lunch boxes and served hot lunch to 100 people.

We did our first fundraiser — Bake Sale — at the Chinese Speech Contest at Terra Verde Discovery School in Norman, Oklahoma. We served Chinese snacks, cookies, hot tea and water bottles to 100 people, and raised $114.14 in total for the Food Lounge OKC Chapter.
November 23, 2022 (Wednesday) Food Resource Center in Moore, Oklahoma

On that day, student volunteers helped 75 households (about 225 people) to shop and we helped with shelving goods and cleaning up.
