We typically organize a few events each quarter in the Twin Cities area for our members to volunteer. These events range from fundraising, to delivering fresh food, to working at local food banks and soup kitchens. Events that are not full will be closed 7 days before they take place.

Description:
Volunteers assisted with packing fresh food. They packed 392 boxes of potato salad and 124 boxes of chicken and vegetables. They also help clean after the packing is finished.Â

Description:
On April 10th, 2023, a team of eight members from The Food Lounge Twin Cities volunteered at Humanities Alliance, located in Victoria, MN. Our mission was to assist with meal preparation and packaging, with the goal of providing nutritious meals to individuals facing food insecurity. During our volunteering session, we were able to pack around 160 boxes of Rice Bake, which will be distributed to those in need of food.
We had a scheduled meeting with Greg Pavett, the founder, to discuss the ‘buy one, give one’ concept associated with their product, Power Bites, which they manufacture and donate. Our aim is to brainstorm ideas on how to advertise the Humanity Alliance to those in need by designing flyers and implementing a tracking system, enabling the donors to track the delivery of the meals.

3rd volunteer activity as TFL TC branch on the last day of 2022. We hand-packed rice, soy, dried vegetables and a nutritionally complete blend of vitamins and minerals into bags which are then sealed, boxed, placed on pallets and shipped to 108 countries to help those neediest children around the world. With cooperation with other groups, we packed a total of 161 boxes including 34,992 meals, which can feed 96 kids for a year.
December 29, 2022 The Humanity Alliance

We packaged and labeled prepared meals with love. These meals were provided to communities where food insecurity and chronic disease continue to create barriers that have a lasting impact. Meal presentation helps bring back love and dignity.
