We typically organize a few events each quarter in the Dallas area for our members to volunteer. These events range from fundraising to delivering fresh food to working at local food banks and soup kitchens. Events that are not full will be closed 7 days before they take place.

January 17, 2026 – The Samaritan Inn, McKinney
8 volunteers completed community service at The Samaritan Inn. They made 80 sandwiches and lunch bags for our Bag Lunch Brigade program which provides sack lunches for the residents of the homeless shelter. We appreciate their time and effort with this important need.
January 17, 2026 – FMSC, Richardson
On January 17th, 2026, 8 Food Lounge volunteers completed community service at Feed My Starving Children. Together with other volunteers, the Food Lounge volunteers packed 94 boxes, equivalent to 20,304 meals, to be sent to children in need. We had a great time volunteering at this event, and we look forward to working with FMSC in the future.
January 10, 2026 – FMSC, Richardson
12 Food Lounge volunteers completed community service on January 10th, 2026 at Feed My Starving Children. Volunteers packed 22 boxes, equivalent to 4752 meals, to be sent to those in need in Jamaica.
December 27, 2025 – 3515 Metropolitan Ave, Dallas
0 Food Lounge volunteers completed community service on December 27, 2025. They prepared and distributed 309 lunch bags for homeless community in the Dallas Metropolitan area. Each lunch bag included a homemade grilled chicken sandwich or hotdog, fresh fruits, a water bottle, and snacks.

15 Food Lounge volunteers completed community service on December 27, 2025, at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). They helped pack 23 boxes of packs, equivalent to 4,968 meals, in the session. All the meals will be shipped to the children in need in Guatemala.

On December 20, 8 volunteers completed community service at The Samaritan Inn. They made 80 sandwiches and lunch bags for our Bag Lunch Brigade program which provides sack lunches for the residents of the homeless shelter. We appreciate their time and effort with this important need.

On December 13, 2025, 10 of The Food Lounge members completed community service at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). They helped package food packs for children in the Dominican Republic. A total of 24 boxes, which is equivalent to 5,184 meals, were packed by The Food Lounge during this session. We appreciate all the volunteers’ time and effort.
August 14 – November 22, 2025 – 3515 Metropolitan Ave, Dallas
From August 14 to November 22, 2025, nineteen members of The Food Lounge collected a total of 1,334 pieces of adult and children’s clothing, shoes, and luggage from the communities of Plano, Southlake, Frisco, and Allen. All donated items were delivered to the Dallas metropolitan area to support low-income and homeless individuals. We sincerely appreciate every volunteer’s time, dedication, and effort in making this drive a success.

On October 4, 2025, 11 of The Food Lounge members completed community service at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). They helped package food packs for children in Panama. A total of 21 boxes, which is equivalent to 4,536 meals, were packed by The Food Lounge during this session. We appreciate all the volunteers’ time and effort.
September 27, 2025 (Saturday) – 3515 Metropolitan Ave, Dallas`
7 students completed community service on September 27th, 2025 at 3515 Metropolitan Avenue, Dallas. Volunteers packed and served 200 portable food packs, including hotdogs, dessert, fruit, and a bottle of water. Scott, a member of the Cathedral of Hope, provided 160 hotdog sausages, 20 buns, and 200 desserts. We appreciate all volunteers’ time and effort.

September 13, 2025 (Saturday) – FMSC, Richardson
Nine members from The Food Lounge completed community service and volunteered on September 13, 2025, at the Feed My Starving Children organization. They helped package 25 boxes of food packs, equal to 5,400 meals and enough to feed 14 Children in Zambia for a year. Along with other volunteer organizations, a total of 69 boxes/14,904 MannaPack Rice meal bags were packed for a year, feeding 40 Children in Zambia during this session. These meal bags will be sent to Zambia and distributed to those in need. With the individual efforts of each volunteer, we collectively can achieve amazing results in the fight against hunger.

On September 6th, 2025, 14 Food Lounge volunteers completed community service at Feed My Starving Children. Together with other volunteers, the Food Lounge volunteers packed 97 boxes, equivalent to 20,952 meals, to be sent to children in need. We had a great time volunteering at this event, and we look forward to working with FMSC in the future.

August 23, 2025 (Saturday) – 3515 Metropolitan Ave, Dallas
On August 23, 2025, Food Lounge volunteers completed community service at 3515 Metropolitan Avenue. Volunteers made 200 lunch bags with a bologna sandwich, chips, orange, banana and bottled water for the homeless community. Participants also brought 220 pieces of apparel donation.
