Dallas Events 2026-2027 – The Food Lounge

We typically organize a few events each quarter in the Dallas area for our members to volunteer. These events range from fundraising to delivering fresh food to working at local food banks and soup kitchens. Events that are not full will be closed 7 days before they take place.

September 19, 2026 – Samaritan Inn, McKinney

6 student volunteers completed community service at The Samaritan Inn. They made 80 sandwiches and lunch bags for our Bag Lunch Brigade program which provides sack lunches for the residents of the homeless shelter. We appreciate their time and effort with this important need.

September 19, 2026 – FMSC, Richardson

6 Food Lounge volunteers completed community service at Feed My Starving Children on September 19, 2026. Volunteers packed 21 boxes, equivalent to 4,536 meals. We appreciate their time and effort with this important need.

September 12, 2026 – FMSC, Richardson

On Sept 12th, 2026, 6 student volunteers from The Food Lounge volunteered at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) in Richardson, Texas. The volunteers from The Food Lounge packed a total of 22 boxes, providing 4,751 meals to those in need. At the session overall, volunteers packed 141 boxes of food, equal to 30,456 meals and enough to feed 83 kids for a year. These meals will be distributed to kids in Guatemala.

August 29, 2026 – FMSC, Richardson

5 Food Lounge volunteers completed community service at Feed My Starving Children on August 29, 2026. Volunteers packed 23 boxes, equivalent to 4,968 meals. We appreciate their time and effort with this important need.

August 22, 2026 – 3515 Metropolitan Ave, Dallas

On August 22, 2026, eleven volunteers from The Food Lounge, in partnership with Making It Count, completed a community service project at 3515 Metropolitan Ave., Dallas, TX 75210. Our volunteers purchased supplies, packed sandwiches, assembled meal packages, and organized the distribution. In total, we served 250 bologna sandwiches, along with 250 bags of chips, 250 granola bars, 250 bags of fruit snacks, and 500 bottles of water. Through this effort, we were able to provide meals and refreshments to approximately 250 individuals experiencing homelessness in our local community. We are deeply grateful to all of our volunteers for their time, compassion, and dedication.

August 22, 2026 – FMSC, Richardson

10 student volunteers have completed community service on August 22nd, 2026, at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). They helped pack 132 boxes, which is equivalent to 28,512 meals, in the session. All meals will be
shipped to the children in need. We appreciate the time and effort from all volunteers and look forward to working with FMSC in the future.

August 15, 2026 – Samaritan Inn, McKinney

8 student volunteers have completed community service on August 15th, 2026, at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). They helped pack 32 boxes, which is equivalent to 6,912 meals, in the session. All meals will be
shipped to the children in need. We appreciate the time and effort from all volunteers and look forward to working with FMSC in the future.

August 15, 2026 – Special Olympics, Allen

To support the Golf Tournament event on 8/15, hosted by The Special Olympics, another nonprofit organization that provides year-round sports athletic competitions for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Food Lounge coordinated volunteers and assisted with scorekeeping at 9 different golf bays. We served at bay # 104, 105, 115, 212, 213, 124, 125, 129, 130. At each bay, around 2-4 athletes competed in 2 games, with 2 rounds per game. Volunteers helped make sure athletes’ names were uploaded to the system, recorded the athletes’ scores accurately, explained the game procedures, and supported the smooth flow of the competition.

August 8, 2026 – FMSC, Richardson

6 student volunteers from the Food Lounge completed community service on August 8, 2026 at Feed My Staving Children (FMSC). They helped pack 21 boxes, which is equivalent to 4,536 meals, in the session. All the meals will be shipped to the children in need in Burundi.

August 8, 2026 – OB2S Six Stones, Bedford

10 Food Lounge volunteers completed community service at the OB2S Six Stones volunteer event. Volunteers helped families in HEB ISD by greeting, checking in, helping sort and give out supplies and backpacks to these families in need.

August 1, 2026 – FMSC, Richardson

3 Food Lounge volunteers completed community service at Feed My Starving Children on August 1, 2026. Volunteers packed 18 boxes, equivalent to 3,888 meals. We appreciate their time and effort with this important need.

August 1, 2026 – Network of Community Ministries, Dallas

5 Food Lounge volunteers completed community service on 8-1-26 at Network of Community Ministries Volunteers packed 2 boxes, equivalent to 300 meals, to be served to low-income households. We had a great time volunteering at this event, and we look forward to working with the Network of Community Ministries in the future!

July 27, 2026 – FMSC, Richardson

9 Food Lounge student volunteers completed community service on July 25, 2026, at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). They helped pack 34 boxes, which is equivalent to 7,344 meals, in the session. All the meals will be shipped to the children in need in Cuba.

July 25, 2026 – 3515 Metropolitan Ave, Dallas

Dallas Chapter 9 members completed community service on July 25th, 2026, along with Making It Count Inc to serve the underserved population in the Dallas Metropolitan area. Our volunteers prepared 288 sausages with loafs, water, and bananas. We appreciate all volunteers’ time and efforts.

July 11, 2026 – Margarita Stroll – McKinney

3 members of The Food Lounge completed community service at McKinney Margarita Stroll. Volunteers helped distribute event merchandise, helped with merchant shop assistance, and check in event participants. We appreciate all the volunteers’ time and effort.

July 11, 2026 – Grace Donation Station – Grapevine

On July 11, 2026, 6 members of The Food Lounge participated in the community service at the Grace Donation Station, sorting through donated clothes, books, and other items and filtering through products to assist them in finding suitable items for donation.

June 27, 2026 – FMSC, Richardson

On June 27th, 2026, 6 Food Lounge volunteers completed community service at Feed My Starving Children. Together with other volunteers, the Food Lounge volunteers packed 98 boxes, equivalent to 21,168 meals, to be sent to children in need. We had a great time volunteering at this event, and we look forward to working with FMSC in the future.

June 27, 2026 – 3515 Metropolitan Ave, Dallas

On June 27, 2026, ten volunteers from The Food Lounge, in partnership
with Making It Count, completed a community service project at 3515 Metropolitan Ave, Dallas, TX 75210. Our volunteers purchased supplies, prepared and cooked hot dogs, assembled meal packages, and organized the distribution. In total, we served 250 hot dogs and buns, along with 256 bags of chips, 468 bananas, and 280 bottles of water. We are deeply grateful to all of our volunteers for their time, compassion, and dedication.

June 20, 2026 – Samaritan Inn, McKinney

8 Food Lounge student volunteers completed community service at The Samaritan Inn. They made 80 sandwiches and lunch bags for our Bag Lunch Brigade program which provides sack lunches for the residents of the homeless shelter. We appreciate their time and effort with this important need.

June 20, 2026 – FMSC, Richardson

8 Food Lounge student volunteers completed community service on June 20, 2026, at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). They helped pack 25 boxes, which is equivalent to 5,400 meals, in the session. All the meals will be shipped to the children in need in the Dominican Republic.

June 13, 2026 – FMSC, Richardson

On June 13, 2026, 6 Food Lounge student volunteers and 2 adult volunteers completed community service at Feed My Starving Children. The Food Lounge volunteers packed 29 boxes, equivalent to 6,264 meals, to be sent to children in need. We had a great time volunteering at this event, and we look forward to working with FMSC in the future.

June 6, 2026 – FMSC, Richardson

On June 6, 2026, 12 of The Food Lounge members completed community service at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). They helped package food packs for children in Haiti. A total of 25 boxes, which is equivalent to 5,400 meals, were packed by The Food Lounge during this session. We appreciate all the volunteers’ time and effort.
