We typically organize a few events each quarter in the Dallas area for our members to volunteer. These events range from fundraising to delivering fresh food to working at local food banks and soup kitchens. Events that are not full will be closed 7 days before they take place.

Past Events
August 1, 2026 – Network of Community Ministries, Dallas
5 Food Lounge volunteers completed community service on 8-1-26 at Network of Community Ministries Volunteers packed 2 boxes, equivalent to 300 meals, to be served to low-income households. We had a great time volunteering at this event, and we look forward to working with the Network of Community Ministries in the future!
July 27, 2026 – FMSC, Richardson
9 Food Lounge student volunteers completed community service on July 25, 2026, at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). They helped pack 34 boxes, which is equivalent to 7,344 meals, in the session. All the meals will be shipped to the children in need in Cuba.
July 18, 2026 – Samaritan Inn, McKinney
Completed community service at The Samaritan Inn. They made 80 sandwiches and lunch bags for our Bag Lunch Brigade program which provides sack lunches for the residents of the homeless shelter. We appreciate their time and effort with this important need.
July 18, 2026 – FMSC, Richardson
6 Food Lounge volunteers completed community service at Feed My Starving Children on July 18, 2026. Volunteers packed 28 boxes, equivalent to 6,048 meals. We appreciate their time and effort with this important need.
July 11, 2026 – Grace Donation Station – Grapevine
On July 11, 2026, 6 members of The Food Lounge participated in the community service at the Grace Donation Station, sorting through donated clothes, books, and other items and filtering through products to assist them in finding suitable items for donation.
June 27, 2026 – FMSC, Richardson
On June 27th, 2026, 6 Food Lounge volunteers completed community service at Feed My Starving Children. Together with other volunteers, the Food Lounge volunteers packed 98 boxes, equivalent to 21,168 meals, to be sent to children in need. We had a great time volunteering at this event, and we look forward to working with FMSC in the future.
June 27, 2026 – 3515 Metropolitan Ave, Dallas
On June 27, 2026, ten volunteers from The Food Lounge, in partnership
with Making It Count, completed a community service project at 3515 Metropolitan Ave, Dallas, TX 75210. Our volunteers purchased supplies, prepared and cooked hot dogs, assembled meal packages, and organized the distribution. In total, we served 250 hot dogs and buns, along with 256 bags of chips, 468 bananas, and 280 bottles of water. We are deeply grateful to all of our volunteers for their time, compassion, and dedication.
June 20, 2026 – Samaritan Inn, McKinney

June 13, 2026 – FMSC, Richardson
On June 13, 2026, 6 Food Lounge student volunteers and 2 adult volunteers completed community service at Feed My Starving Children. The Food Lounge volunteers packed 29 boxes, equivalent to 6,264 meals, to be sent to children in need. We had a great time volunteering at this event, and we look forward to working with FMSC in the future.
June 6, 2026 – FMSC, Richardson
On June 6, 2026, 12 of The Food Lounge members completed community service at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). They helped package food packs for children in Haiti. A total of 25 boxes, which is equivalent to 5,400 meals, were packed by The Food Lounge during this session. We appreciate all the volunteers’ time and effort.
